New Super-Strong Mounting Knuckle Introduced by B-K Lighting
A new mounting knuckle for lighting fixtures, called "The L.O.C.K.(TM)," is now standard on many B-K Lighting products. The L.O.C.K(TM) handles ten times more torque than the company's original style knuckle design, is water tight, and puts firm pressure-loading on the threads of the lock-screw, tightly locking the knuckle in its position.
The L.O.C.K. (Locking O-ring Compression Knuckle) incorporates a high temperature silicone "O"-ring between two precisely machined tapered parts for a mechanical compression fit unsurpassed in the lighting industry.
"We wanted to improve our old style of knuckle," said Ron Naus, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for B-K Lighting, "even though the old style was the most reliable in the industry. We set a goal to create a knuckle that was ten times stronger than what we had and we succeeded."
