Baldor Severe Duty Motors
Baldor offers customers a wide range of Severe Duty motors directly from stock, including premium or standard efficiencies in ratings from 1/2 to 500 horsepower. Non-stock (to 2000 HP) motors are delivered in just ten working days. For most extreme applications where downtime is critical, Baldor IEEE-841 motors are ideal. These are NEMA Premium(TM) efficient motors that exceed IEEE 841-2001 specifications. Standard efficient Severe Duty motors include Chemical Processing motors and "Dirty Duty(TM)" motors.
Baldor Severe Duty motors feature cast iron construction for extra durability. They are designed for a wide range of processing industry conditions. They are built Class F insulation, Class B temperature rise, and a 1.15 service factor. Motors through 575 volts use ISR(TM) Inverter Spike Resistant wire, making them "Inverter-Ready." For severe environmental operating conditions, Baldor Chemical Processing motors provide extra protection with corrosion resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, oversized rotatable cast iron conduit boxes, stainless steel nameplate and corrosion resistant hardware. IEEE 841 motors add Inpro/Seal bearing isolators on each end of the motor. Motors for use in hazardous locations are available through 300 horsepower.
Applications for Baldor Chemical Processing motors include refineries, chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper mills, tropical climates and other applications requiring protection against corrosive atmospheres.
