Original Press Release:

Air Actuated Motion Transfer Unit > Keyed Internally Against Rotation with Adjustable End of Travel Stop

Mack Corporation releases a product line of low profile, air actuated motion transfer units where pistons are keyed internally against rotation and incorporate an adjustable stop mechanism for end of stroke positioning. Various combinations of rotators and end effectors mount to a standard face with adaptors. A proper choice of accessories provides a unit which serves as an arm and hand with wrist motion. End effectors with two, three and four fingers are offered for gripping internally or externally. Fingers are easily profiled to fit a part and readily exchanged for pick and place service involving parts of different configurations.

Basic modules operate through standard four way air valves for manual control near a work station or through solenoid operated valves from a remote location when installed as part of a programmed automation sequence.

Units operate properly in any position with motion range to twelve inches. Moving parts are fabricated from aluminum alloy with minimum mass for rapid transfer and with hard anodized surfaces for extended service life. Seals are standard "O"rings for easy servicing.
