Morgan Technical Ceramics Showcases Ceramic-To-Metal Assemblies for Analytic Instrumentation at Pittcon 2008

14-12-2007

Morgan Technical Ceramics (MTC), a leading manufacturer of innovative ceramic, glass, precious metal, piezoelectric and dielectric materials, will showcase ceramic-to-metal assemblies (CMA) at booth #1123 at PITTCON 2008 held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, LA, from March 1-7, 2008. Ideal for OEMs in the analytical instrumentation industry, MTC's ceramic-to-metal assemblies provide a highly-durable hermetic seal, excellent electrical properties and resistance to extreme temperatures for the most demanding applications

Typically composed of polycrystalline Alumina (94%-99.9% pure) ceramic, MTC ceramic-to-metal seals are more robust and durable than glass seals. They maintain their hermeticity in a variety of harsh environments, such as high and low (cryogenic) temperatures, corrosive, high pressure and high vacuum.

All components of the ceramic-to-metal assembly must be carefully matched and well-integrated. MTC can ensure quality and consistency by internally sourcing ceramics and brazing materials and by drawing on decades of manufacturing expertise to provide integrated, complete assemblies that are fully tested with total materials traceability.

In addition to ceramic-to-metal assemblies, MTC offers many other solutions for analytic instrumentation applications employing advanced ceramics, metal alloys, engineered coatings and piezoceramics.
