Remote Monitoring Device Web Enables Process Control Equipment
A new low-cost device that lets users monitor key process parameters from any computer, anywhere in the world, using a standard web browser is being introduced by Walchem Corporation of Holliston, Massachusetts.
WebAlert(TM) is a stand alone monitoring device that lets users web enable their installed process control equipment and provides on-line access using a standard web browser. Featuring six analog (4-20 mA) inputs, two digital inputs, and one dry alarm contact input, this remote monitoring device provides automatic cyclical or calendar reporting, system status with a 24-hour snapshot, 32-day data logging, and e-mail and Web page alerts.
Eliminating the need to replace or upgrade installed equipment, WebAlert(TM) is capable of monitoring any device with an analog or digital signal and is only on-line when needed, via a local phone call. User-programmable and MS Offices compatible, it is UL/CSA/CE approved and offers multi-user access (password protected) simultaneously via the Internet, Ethernet, or RS232.
