ModulTherm® System Launch for Midwest Automotive Drive Train Manufacturer

ALD-Holcroft, Wixom, MI, has successfully installed and commissioned a Four (4) chamber ModulTherm® system; the first of three (3) systems all to be located with the same manufacturer in the Midwest region of the United States.
This ModulTherm system operates using recipe selectable Helium or Nitrogen high pressure gas (up to 20 bar) for quench and incorporates pre-wash, pre-oxidation, convection heating and tempering in a fully automated, lights-out system. When helium quench is selected, it is captured and reclaimed at the rate of 99.5% per quench. Equipped with Dynamic-Quenching® and multi-directional quench gas control, this system provides the best possibilities for control of work piece distortion.
