The NC352 supports all current ultrasonic transducers with the RS422 interface. Multi-magnet sensors can be attached at the 3 connectors allowing up to 3 path values to be returned. In this way, a total of up to 4 position values can be measured. In addition, the speed of the individual magnets can be determined by the module.
A high-speed digital output makes it possible to react as a comparator output to one of the path values. An incremental encoder can also be connected via three additional 24 V digital inputs configurable for counting and measuring functions.
In addition to the various possibilities for monitoring the plausibility of path and acceleration, the voltage necessary to supply the encoder can be checked to its threshold values.
This encoder connection technology is based on 9-pin DSUB plugs. 8-pin terminals are necessary for digital I/Os and for supplying the encoder's voltage. These are available as cage clamps in the standard program.
