Cobar Solder Products' 'Plug 'n Spray' Fluxer is Modular and Versatile 'Drop in' for No-Clean, VOC-Free

Londonderry, New Hampshire, USA -- Cobar Solder Products' new 'Plug'n Spray' spray fluxer is a drop-in replacement for foam, wave, and first-generation spray fluxers. Its unique design gives the operator full control over all the critical parameters in the fluxing process to achieve a perfect balance between a uniform, well-defined flux deposit and excellent wicking in through-holes. The 'Plug'n Spray' works with any type of No-Clean, alcohol, or water-based (VOC-free) flux to deliver cleaner board surfaces plus excellent topside wicking. Additionally, the 'Plug'n Spray' saves up to 40% more flux than comparable fluxing systems.

'Plug'n Spray' is designed for the specific physical and chemical properties of modern No-Clean flux technology, such as the typical range for surface tension and capillary viscosity of water-based (VOC-free) fluxes. The 'Plug'n Spray' design eliminates typical headaches associated with spray flux applications, such as over- and under- spraying; thus producing perfectly soldered boards with excellent topside wicking, even on OSP-boards, plus lower machine maintenance requirements.

The simple, modular 'Plug'n Spray' design features an air-driven, high precision nozzle with an adjustable cone. The computer-controlled movement, the defined spray angle, the unique short distance of only 30 mm to the board surface, and the finely-adjustable pressure setting of the nozzle provide its unique spraying performance, both onto the board surface, as well as up into the through-holes. The nozzle is mounted on a table that is driven by magnetic force. This ensures a sealed compartment for all vital parts as well as an instant and convenient removal of the moving parts for quick and easy cleaning.

The 'Plug 'n Spray' spray-fluxer is a field retrofit system that includes a fluxing unit, a control cabinet and an exhaust hood. The compact design generally fits into the position of the fluxer unit of virtually any type of soldering equipment and thus may also be installed at the input end of a soldering machine.

Cobar Solder Products is the U.S. subsidiary of the Cobar Group, a multi-million dollar corporation with operations and distributors in all major areas of the world. Cobar is a recognized leader in lead-free and VOC-free soldering materials.
