Modular Linear Actuators are custom-built with standard parts.

Press Release Summary:

Corrosion-resistant SKF® CAT33 Modular Range electromechanical linear actuators can be built utilizing standard internal and external components such as motors, gears, screws, controls, and attachments. They perform functions from opening/closing and clamping/gripping to raising/lowering and pushing/pulling. Both right- and left-hand models are available in 3 basic actuator types: CAT33 with ACME sliding screw, CAT33H with ACME screw, and CAT32B with SKF Ball screw.

SKF® 'Modular Range' Linear Actuators Custom-Built With Standard Parts

BETHLEHEM, PA, July 7, 2003 - SKF® CAT33 Modular Range electromechanical linear actuators from SKF Actuation Systems can be custom-built utilizing standard internal and external components (such as motors, gears, screws, controls, and attachments). This modular design and assembly capability enables users to satisfy application-specific requirements without the costs typically associated with specially engineered parts or assemblies.

This line of SKF modular actuators is ideal for foodservice equipment applications and can perform a variety of functions, such as opening/closing, clamping/gripping, raising/lowering, or pushing/pulling. Both right- and left-hand models are available and all resist corrosion.

Three basic actuator types in this series include CAT33 with ACME sliding screw for standard operation; CAT33H with ACME screw for high-speeds; and CAT32B with SKF Ball screw for higher load or duty factors.

Each can accommodate different options (and each option presents more choices) to tailor actuator to application. Users can specify standard or special stroke lengths, AC or DC motors, friction clutch gears, cables, and front and rear attachments, among many other selections. Available accessories range from limit switches to encoders.

The SKF CAT33 Modular Range series joins a wide range of actuators designed for the food industry and for countless other industry applications where reliable actuation is required.
