MINNEAPOLIS - Oct. 1, 2003 ... Comtrol has launched the RocketModem III universal PCI multimodem card, compatible with today's newest PCI expansion slots, including PCI-X. RocketModem III delivers four or eight industry-leading analog modems on a single expansion card, which is commonly used to create communications servers for remote access and fax applications. The new "inch" V.90/56K modems used on the card provide more features than previous models, including support for "call waiting" and "ring indicator," both of which were highly requested features.
Using Comtrol's unique, industry-leading RocketPort® Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) technology, RocketModem III maximizes performance by handling multiport control functions directly on the card, while minimizing utilization of the host CPU.
