Cingular Debuts Motorola SLVR-Like Phone for Business, Government Employees

Highly Popular, Ultra-Thin Motorola Design Now Available via Motorola L2 To Employees of Companies, Government Agencies with Camera, Music Restrictions

ATLANTA, May 3 -- Cingular Wireless today introduced the Motorola L2, a mobile phone built especially for the requirements of American business and government while incorporating the ultra-thin design of Motorola SLVR, one of the hottest handsets currently on the market.

The business-class Motorola L2 comes without a camera, external memory or music features, which many companies and government agencies restrict employees from having on their mobile phones. This coupled with Cingular's aggressive $116.99 offering for the device with a two-year contract means that the one-of-a-kind iconic design of the Motorola SLVR now is within reach of most corporate and government employees.

"Cingular is pleased to satisfy the yearnings of corporate America for a Motorola SLVR-like device that adheres to stringent workplace policies," said Michael Woodward, executive director, mobile professional solutions, for Cingular Wireless. "Now, most business and government employees can have access to a great voice-centric device with the latest in executive style for wireless at a price that does not require them to be in the executive suite."

The Motorola L2 has the look and feel of its trendy, full-featured Motorola SLVR L7 brethren. It is of a candy bar design, is less than a half- inch thick and weighs about 3 ounces. The Motorola L2 comes with all of the essentials for the business person -- Bluetooth(R) connectivity for hands-free use, speaker phone and quad-band technology that allows customers to make phone calls and access data throughout the U.S. as well as overseas in more than 180 countries for voice and over 100 countries for data. It also has mobile e-mail, and instant, text and multimedia messaging capabilities.

The Motorola L2 is available now, exclusively in the U.S. through Cingular's B2B Sales force, for as low as $116.99 with a two-year service agreement, and up to $206.99 with no contract.
