MASHPEE, Mass. - February 2006 - MEDER electronic, Inc.
MEDER electronic, Inc. introduces the latest ultra-miniature Micro Machined Reed Sensor. This tiny sensor is manufactured using a semiconductor wafer technology. The process allows MEDER to package the MMS Reed Sensor in a 2.8mm x 2.0mm square (0.110 " x 0.08 ") surface mount package. The MMS is offered in Tape and Reel formats for faster SMT processing.
The SPST Micro Machined Reed Sensor has a switching voltage of 3 VDC maximum, with 109 ohms insulation resistance across contacts.
The sensor draws no current while in the open position, making it ideal for battery or other applications where available power is at a minimum.
