Original Press Release:

Kalamazoo Machine Tool Model H230 Utility Saw is Economical

The Kalamazoo Machine Tool Model H230 Utility Saw is small enough to be economical, but heavy enough for light production, toolroom, jobshop or maintenance applications. The saw is capable of mitering up to 45° to the left and up to 60° to the right. This permits a wider range of angles to be cut without swinging the work-piece out across the work floor.

The KMT Model H230 saw is available in three configurations: manual and AutoCut with two blade speeds at 115 fpm and 230 fpm, and AutoCut with infinitely variable blade speeds from 65-320 fpm. All models feature a 1 HP TEFC motor, a 3/4" x 8'3" blade with solid carbide blade guides and full guarding, a totally enclosed transmission, quick clamping/quick adjusting vise and a full recirculating coolant system. Available options include infeed and outfeed conveyors and a mobile attachment to allow the machine to be moved quickly and easily.

The KMT AutoCut operation permits repeatable, accurate cutting with a push of the button. The blade starts at the pre-set rate, coolant comes on and the saw frame comes down at the pre-set rate selected. At the end of the cut, everything shuts off and the operator only has to raise the saw frame, unclamp the workpiece and clamp the stock for the next cut.
