Miniature Sensor detects objects through holes and gaps.

Press Release Summary:

Series 0507 rectangular sensors narrowly focus light beams to detect objects through holes and gaps, as well as closely lined-up or laterally approaching objects whose distance from the sensor can not be kept constant. Self-contained sensors are 5 x 7 mm with 40 mm housing length. Scratch resistant spherical sapphire lens projects virtually cylindrical 4 mm light beam. Unit operate in 10-30 Vdc voltage range, are vacuum potted, and provide up to 100 mA output current.

New Sensor with Narrowly Focused Light Beam Detects Objects Through Holes and Gaps

New Contrinex Series 0507 miniature rectangular sensors with narrowly focused light beam detects object through holes and gaps, as well as closely lined-up or laterally approaching objects whose distance from the sensor can't be kept constant.

Series 0507 sensors are characterized by their remarkably small size of 5 x 7 mm, with a housing length of 40 mm. The spherical sapphire lens is scratch resistant and projects a virtually cylindrical light beam with a diameter < 4 mm, permitting vertical as well as horizontal mounting.

Despite their small size, these devices are fully self-contained. As a result, they are less costly and easier to install than fiber-optic alternatives. And, because of their sensing range, they can also replace larger switches where mounting space is limited.

These new devices are short-circuit proof and operate in a voltage range of 10-30 VDC, and with an output current of up to 100 mA. They are fully vacuum potted and, as a result, largely insensitive to environmental influences (degree of protection IP 67).

CONTRINEX has manufactured inductive and photoelectric proximity switches since 1972. It specializes exclusively in the development, manufacture and sales of positioning sensors for industrial use. All departments and management levels in the company's management system are ISO 9001:2000 certified.
