Miniature Neon Lamps Custom Packaging and Colors



A line of miniature neon lamps that operate directly from 110/220 VAC for use as indicators, in switches and fuse boxes in appliances and instruments has been introduced by Gilway Technical Lamp of Woburn, Massachusetts.

Gilway Miniature Neon Lamps are designed for use in equipment operating directly from 110/220 VAC or >90 VDC and are rated for 15,000 to 50,000 hours operation. Shock- and vibration-resistant, these bright miniature lamps can be supplied in a wide variety of colors, with and without a series resistor, and can be packaged to OEM customer requirements.

Providing brightness up to 5.0 mcd, Gilway Miniature Neon Lamps measure only 3.2 mm to 6.0 mm dia. and are available with various lead styles and terminations. Filled with either pure neon gas or a neon-argon gas mixture, depending upon model, they are made by mounting two electrodes within a small glass envelope, and have two tin plated Dumet metal electrical leads.
