Advansus Rolls Out i915GV2-LEI for Multimedia Networking Applications
Taipei, Taiwan, July 6th, 2007
Advansus, a joint-venture company of ASUS and Advantech, introduces i915GV2-LEI mini-ITX motherboard. High energy efficiency and low power consumption makes i915GV2-LEI a truly quality low-cost motherboard, which is based on Intel® mobile Pentium® M processors running with very low average power consumption than desktop processors, and the 915GV system chipset with a low Thermal Design Power (TDP). The i915GV2-LEI is designed to meet a wide range of multimedia intensive applications, and it packs in a variety of well integrated features, including 2-CH LVDS, 6-CH HD Audio, Dual Gigabit LAN, two COM ports, eight USB ports and one PCI interface.
Multimedia Features
The motherboard applies the 82915GV GMCH system chip, which integrates the Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 900. This enables i915GV2-LEI to offer incredible visual quality, versatile display options, and superlative 3D performance. The GMA 900 accelerator supports widescreen LCD displays, accelerated DirectX 9 and 3D graphics capabilities - all without any extra cost. It also supports Dynamic Video Memory Technology (DVMT) 3.0 with a video memory up to 128 MB. One built-in Chrontel CH7308B LVDS transmitter enables an LVDS display up to 24-bits with a maximum pixel rate of 165MP/s. An onboard Realtek ALC650 codec chip supports 6-channel high definition audio features. The system memory is flexible with one 240-pin DIMM socket supporting DDR2 400/533 up to 1 GB SDRAM.
High-speed I/O & Networking
Additionally, i915GV2-LEI supplies high speed networking and I/O connections. Two RJ-45 LAN ports are driven by the Realtek RTL8110SC chip for dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet communications. Eight USB 2.0 ports provide high-speed I/O transmission at 40X the speed of USB 1.1. Two SATA ports facilitate data transfers at 300MB/s for storage devices. Two serial ports are ideal for multiple peripherals applications (such as POS). In addition, one PCI slot is available for system expansion.
