BVM Atom N270 Based Mini-ITX Motherboard

LV-67D mini-ITX motherboard based on Atom N270 Released 13 February 2009

BVM has added the LV-67D to its extensive family of mini-ITX form factor motherboards for embedded applications. The LV-67D uses the Intel 945GSE chipset and incorporates the 45nm Intel Atom N270 processor. The chip's power consumption is particularly low at 2.5W, and with extensive I/O capability, the board is ideal for embedded applications such as digital signage, kiosks, point of sale terminals, thin clients, digital security, residential gateways and commercial and industrial control equipment where ultimate computing power is less important than power conservation. The onboard Intel GMA 950 32-bit 3D graphics engine offers LVDS, DVI, CRT or HDTV capability and multiple graphics displays.

The N270 runs at 1.6GHz with a 533MHz FSB addressing up to 2GB of RAM. The LV-67D provides a comprehensive selection of I/O: two Giga LAN ports, eight x USB 2.0 ports, five x RS232 and one RS485 serial port. 2 x 150MB/s SATA interfaces give access to mass storage and the board has IDE support for a solid-state disk. Extended interface facilities include a PCI Express mini card socket, a Mini-PCI socket and a PCI slot. System management functions include an 8-bit GPIO programmable interface and a 256-level watchdog timer.
