Beckhoff announces the C63xx series of control cabinet PCs
MINNEAPOLIS, August 18, 2004 - Beckhoff has expanded its already comprehensive Industrial PC family with the C63xx mini format control cabinet PCs. These fully-fledged Industrial PCs help conserve valuable cabinet space with the smallest variant measuring only 3.7" x 7.7" x 8.9" (W x H x D).
The base units are the C6320 and 6330, the C6325 and C6335 are fan-less designs with heat fins and the C6340 and C6350 have extra PCI expansion slots. This mini PC can handle not only PLC tasks, but also offers all the operating and communication options of a modern PC with its Intel Celeron or Pentium III processor and Beckhoff's TwinCAT software.
Small, sound and inexpensive PLC successor
All of the mechanical parts in the C63xx PCs are designed with simplicity and stability in mind - the easily accessible drives and plug-in cards do not compromise system performance or integrity. The internal chassis is removable for configuration and maintenance purposes and the PC is designed to be fully operational when the chassis is removed. The installation options are also well-balanced. All PC connections are located on one side, while three mounting sides offer optimum installation variations in the control cabinet for the user. Versions without rotating storage media offer further application options. Instead of a hard disk, a flash card can be integrated as the memory medium.
