Albrecht APC Milling Chucks Improve for 2006
Albrecht, Inc. will display a redesigned line of APC Milling Chucks in booth E-2717 at IMTS 2006.
The Albrecht APC is a key-operated tool holder that achieves extremely high holding power through the combination of a precision worm gear and a slow collet taper angle, exceeding the gripping torque of traditional hydraulic and shrink-fit tool holders by 50-95%. The APC excels at a wide variety of machining operations, including heavy-duty roughing, fine finish milling, and hard milling. High-speed cutting, drilling, reaming, and tapping are also easily handled.
Now available in short, extended, and slim-line configurations, the Albrecht APC has been optimized for maximum rigidity, resulting in smoother part finishes and a measurable improvement in cutting tool life of 19-63%. Ultra-precision accuracy is guaranteed at 0.00012" TIR at 2.5 x D, and all APC Milling Chucks are dynamically balanced to G2.5@20,000 rpm for high-speed operation. Additional features include a central thru-coolant passage, sealed construction, and an improved proprietary surface coating for fast, easy collet changes.
Capacity of the new Albrecht APC has been increased from ¾" to 1-1/4". All popular shank styles are available from stock, including CAT, BT, and HSK tapers. For 2006, Albrecht has also reduced prices on all APC milling chucks and collets.
