Seco-Carboloy Introduces New U-Series Milling Chucks
Warren, Mich., August 1, 2003 - Seco-Carboloy has announced the availability of its new U-Series Milling Chucks. This latest generation chuck provides excellent accuracy and high gripping force to meet the needs of today's high precision and heavy duty machining standards in high-performance applications.
The strong grip and rigidity of the U-Series is made possible through a unique chucking mechanism which clamps the cutting tool evenly up to 3mm from the chuck's nose. A thick wall and internal slots of the U-Series Milling Chucks also create additional chucking torque and rigidity. The chucks provide high accuracy with a run-out of less than 5µm at 100mm from the nose.
The chucks are available in four sizes from 0.750" to 2.000" bore. Intermediate sized shanks are held in standard U-Series metric milling chuck collets. The collet has a standard O.D. to match the cutting tool. The chucks can be converted for use with metric shank tools simply by inserting a metric milling chuck collet.
