Milacron Purchases AFC-Holcroft E-Z 1800 Endothermic Gas Generator
Milacron LLC of Mt. Orab, Ohio has purchased an AFC-Holcroft E-Z Series 1800 Endothermic Gas Generator.
The E-Z endothermic generator is supplied with an Atmosphere Engineering Co. Low Pressure (LP) EndoInjector(TM) precision gas mixing and control system to accommodate lower natural gas supply pressures.
The investment in the E-Z 1800 endothermic generator was justified based on significantly lower operating costs compared to the customer's current nitrogen methanol system.
The atmosphere produced, when enriched with natural gas, is suitable for gas carburizing and carbon restoration of the low and medium carbon steels. The atmosphere, as generated, may be used for clean annealing, normalizing and hardening of all carbon steels.
