New POWER MIG® 216 Joins Lincoln Electric's Popular Line of MIG Welders

Cleveland - Lincoln Electric has updated its popular POWER MIG® 216 wire feeder/welder line with the new 216 model, which provides metal job shop fabrication, maintenance and repair, autobody, farm and light industrial production industries with top welding performance for both MIG and flux-cored welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

Like other machines in the POWER MIG line, the 216 arrives spool gun ready, allowing professional welders to quickly switch to aluminum wire welding. Users need only remove the standard MIG gun and plug in Lincoln's economical light-duty Magnum® SG100 spool gun for enhanced aluminum wire feeding performance. The machine can also be used with the Magnum SG spool gun for medium-duty applications and the premium Magnum 250XL spool gun for heavy-duty jobs.

Using Lincoln's patented Diamond Core Technology(TM), the 216 delivers a forgiving arc, excellent out-of-position control, low spatter and a wide voltage sweet spot at established wire feed speeds for steel, stainless steel and aluminum. The machine includes Lincoln's heavy-duty MAXTRAC(TM) cast aluminum wire drive, which features dual-driven rolls, regulated wire feed speed, brass-to-brass gun connections for enhanced electrical connectivity and Lincoln's patented wire-supporting split-wire guide systems.

With a wide amperage range of 30-250 amps, the POWER MIG 216 provides more output and better efficiency than comparable machines.

Lincoln also has included new Coil Claw(TM) cable management system and a top-mounted gun expendable parts tray for convenient and safe storage of the gun, cables and related pieces.
