New CFKII 5-Phase Microstepping Motor And Driver



The new Nanostep(R) CFKII Series of 5-phase microstepping motor and driver packages combine the smooth operation of the Oriental Motor USA Corp. 5-phase hybrid stepping motor with a high resolution microstepping driver. This motor-driver package creates a stepping motor system with extremely low velocity vibration. Available in four high torque motor frame sizes (1.1 in.sq., 1.65 in. sq., 2.36 in. sq., and 3.35 in. sq.), the CFKII Series produces holding torques ranging from 4.6 oz-in (CFK533AT) to 890 oz-in (CFK5913HAT) and is available in either standard or high speed models. Position accuracy of up to +/-3 arc-minutes is available for the CFKII Series.

The compact CFKII Series open frame modular driver provides 16 user selectable resolution settings up to 125,000 steps per revolution. The open loop driver has a special mid-frequency resolution suppression circuit and utilizes 24 VDC and currents of 0.75, 1.4, or 2.8 amps per phase to drive and control the CFKII stepping motors.

Available in four high torque motor frame sizes (1.1 in. sq., 1.65 in. sq., 2.36 in. sq., and 3.35 in. sq.), the CFKII Series produces holding torques ranging from 4.6 oz-in (CFK533AT) to 890 oz-in (CFK5913HBT). Standard and high speed models are available.
