Tyco Electronics introduces a new STRADA connector product suite specifically designed for future high-speed system requirements. The first connector series offered is the STRADA Mesa mezzanine connector system-a pin & socket signal contact design that can be arranged in high-speed differential, high-density single-ended and/or coax patterns

Tyco Electronics, a leading supplier of high-speed interconnect systems, introduces a new STRADA connectors product suite - specifically designed for future high-speed system requirements - a product roadway for the future. The first connector series offered -- the STRADA Mesa mezzanine connector system -- offers a pin and socket signal contact design that can be arranged in high-speed differential, high-density single-ended, and/or coax patterns.
Additionally, the connector offers integrated power contacts, each capable of carrying 10 amps of current. STRADA Mesa connectors are available with stack height options ranging from 8mm to 42mm. These connectors are ideal for high-speed differential architectures utilizing printed circuit boards arranged in a mezzanine application.
The new STRADA Mesa connector system delivers over 15 Gb/s performance and is available in three sizes, which when fully loaded with all differential pairs will yield 40 pairs, 80 pairs and 160 pairs. The receptacle and header assemblies are press-fit to the printed circuit board (PCB). Samples are available upon request.
