Metso's ExperTune PlantTriage Software Wins 2013 Engineers' Choice Award for Diagnostics
Metso’s ExperTune PlantTriage software has won Control Engineering magazine’s 2013 Engineers’ Choice Award in the Diagnostics Software category.
ExperTune PlantTriage software, which provides on-line monitoring and analysis of process and control information, has been in continuous development for the past decade. Version 11 adds more capabilities that allow users to detect and resolve process control problems quickly.
In evaluating the 2013 Engineers’ Choice contestants, Control Engineering engaged subscribers who are either responsible for, influence technology purchases, or have day-to-day interactions with the technology in question. These subscribers were asked to vote on the products they felt were most exceptional based on technological advancement, service to the industry and market impact. More than 100 products were nominated in 16 categories, from which 29 winners were selected.
ExperTune became a member of the Metso family in 2012. It will continue to market its exceptional monitoring and optimization tools under its own brand. ExperTune is also working closely with Metso service organizations to integrate its advanced technologies into high-value expert service offerings that will allow plants to quickly realize a substantial payback from process monitoring and intelligence-based corrective action.
