Metso Minerals to Sell Buell Air Classifiers

Metso Minerals and Buell, a division of Fisher-Klosterman, Inc, USA, have signed an agreement for the sale of Buell air classification equipment in Europe, Middle-East and Africa (on an exclusive base) and Asia. Buell, based in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, manufactures a wide range of filler classification applications for cement, alongside sand and industrial minerals applications.

The Buell product range includes gravitational classifiers, gravitational inertial classifiers, centrifugal classifiers and cyclones, which are used in removing fine material from coarser sand products.

Today, while natural sand is a diminishing resource, the construction industry world-wide is looking for the possibilities to use more manufactured sand when producing concrete and asphalt. The dry air classification process provides high yield of quality manufactured sand with low operational cost and minimized environmental impact, also making it possible to market the filler as a value added product.

For Metso Minerals' crushing and screening processes, Buell air classification products offer a cost effective process solution for removing -0.075 mm filler from manufactured sand. Buell equipment is available both for stationary and mobile crushing and screening processes.

Metso Minerals is a global supplier of equipment, service and process solutions to industries including quarrying and aggregates production, mining and minerals processing, construction and civil engineering, and recycling and waste management.
