Merillat Deploys BuyDesign® Spec-In from TDCI

February 19, 2007 - Columbus, Ohio. TDCI Inc. (TDCI), a leading enterprise
software solution provider, today announced that Merillat Industries, LLC
(Merillat), one of North America's largest cabinet manufacturers, is now
shipping their next generation Merillat AutoCAD Design System based on TDCI's
BuyDesign Spec-In platform, with content generated using TDCI's BuyDesign
Flex3D CAD automation engine. The Merillat AutoCAD Design System allows a
builder's home designer to select various cabinets from the Merillat catalog
and insert associated AutoCAD design blocks directly into their drawing, then
output a complete product schedule for easy quote request and ordering.
Merillat is an industry leader in providing this type of AutoCAD-compatible
solution to builders, architects, and other professional home designers. "By

Merillat's approach to deploying BuyDesign Spec-in is to deliver a catalog of
pre-generated design blocks for every SKU in a product line. As an
alternative, manufacturers can deliver BuyDesign Configurator and BuyDesign
Flex2D along with BuyDesign Spec-In to guide designers through dynamic
generation of design blocks as part of the Spec-In process.
TDCI has been working with Merillat for several years ? this is the fourth
generation of the Merillat AutoCAD Design System solution. Until now, the
AutoCAD application has been a custom solution, but is now delivered on the
standard BuyDesign Spec-In platform.
