Memory Upgrades boost performance of ThinkCentre(TM) systems.

Press Release Summary:

Models PC2-3200 CL3 and PC2-4200 CL4 Non-Parity DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DIMM upgrades are available in 256 MB, 512 MB, and 1 GB. PC2-3200 triples performance of traditional SDRAM memory, while PC2-4200 enables up to 4 times the performance. Available in 240-pin modules with gold-plated leads, memory upgrades provide maximum data transfer rates of 3,200 and 4,300 Mbps.

Original Press Release:

IBM 256MB, 512MB, 1GB PC2-3200 CL3 or PC2-4200 CL4 NP DDR2 SDRAM UDIMM Memory Upgrades Boost System Performance

Overview
Improve the overall performance of your ThinkCentre(TM) systems with 256MB, 512MB, 1GB PC2-3200 CL3 or PC2-4200 CL4 Non-Parity (NP) DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DIMM (UDIMM) memory upgrades. PC2-3200 CL3 DDR2 SDRAM enables up to three times the performance of traditional SDRAM memory and PC2-4200 CL4 DDR2 SDRAM enables up to four times the performance of traditional SDRAM. Adding additional IBM memory is a cost-effective way to boost your system performance and enhance your ability to run more
programs simultaneously.

Note: PC2-3200 and PC2-4200 memory can coexist on one system, but will operate at PC2-3200 speed.

Key prerequisites
The IBM 256MB, 512MB, 1GB PC2-3200 CL3 or PC2-4200 CL4 NP DDR2 SDRAM UDIMM memory upgrades are supported on:
o ThinkCentre A51p
o Non-IBM systems that support industry-standard DDR2 SDRAM to the PC3200 CL3 NP UDIMM specification

Planned availability date
June 24, 2004
