Medical / ITE 250W Power Supplies Comply with DoE Level VI and EU Tier 2 v5 Standards
San Diego, CA – January 2019 –TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) announces the introduction of the TDK-Lambda DTM250-D external AC-DC power supplies. This series meets the stringent DoE Level VI and EU Tier 2 v5 standards for both average efficiency and off-load power. The DTM250-D is certified to the medical IEC 60601-1 and industrial IEC 60950-1 standards, making it suitable for higher power medical, dental, test, measurement and industrial portable equipment.
The DTM250-D is housed in a rugged, compact, vent-free enclosure measuring 90 x 200 x 45mm (W x L x H). AC is applied through the standard IEC 60320-C14 (3-prong) socket and the output DC cable is fitted with a Molex Mini Fit output connector as standard, wit.other connector types available upon request. The adapters also feature over-voltage and over-current protection.
Accepting a 90 to 264VAC input, the 250W rated adapters are available with 12V, 19V, 24V, 28V, 36V, 48V and 54V outputs and can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to +60°C (derating linearly to 50% load from 40 to 60°C). In satisfying the DoE Level VI and EU Tier 2 v5 requirements the series has an average efficiency of greater than 89% and an off-load power consumption of less than 0.15W.
The DTM250-D series has been certified to IEC/ES/CSA/EN 60601-1, IEC/UL/CSA/EN 60950-1 and carries the CE mark for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS Directives..All models meet IEC 60601-1-2 Ed4:2014, EN 55011-B, EN 55032-B, FCC Part 15 Class B, FCC Part 18 Class B emissions and immunity standards. Touch current is <100µA, input to ground isolation is 1,500Vac (1 x MoPP), input to output 4,000Vac (2 x MoPP) and output to ground 1,500VAC (1 x MoPP). All models are suitable for B and BF rated equipment with operation up to an altitude of 5,000m.
