Original Press Release:

135 W Power Adapters with 270 W High Peak Power Capability Are Medically Approved to the Latest Safety Standards

Santa Clara, California - Tumbler Technologies + TRUMPower is proud to unveil its highly efficient TMP135 series of medical and ITE power adapters, which are approved to the latest UL 60601-1, EN 60601-1 3rd edition medical standards and UL 60950-1, EN 60950-1 2nd edition ITE standards.

The series offers a low earth leakage current of less than 200µA at 264 VAC and 63Hz. The peak power for 10 seconds is as high as 270W. With an active efficiency of up to 91%, these units are compliant with the CEC and Energy Star Level V standards.

Offering up to 135W of continuous output power, the TMP135 series provides a flexible range of output voltages including 12V, 13V, 14-16V, 18-19V, 20-21V, 24-25V, 28-29V, 30-32V, 36-38V, or 46-50V. The TMP135 models come equipped with the IEC 320/C14 AC inlet for the Class I models and the IEC 320/C18 AC inlet for the Class II models. Measuring 6.73" (L) x 2.83" (W) x 1.65" (H), the fanless units come with a power-on LED indicator and a 4-pin circular DIN output connector. TRUMPower also offers many other connector options and can accommodate special requirements.

The TMP135 units are comprehensively protected against overvoltage and overcurrent conditions and deliver a reliable 150,000 hours-minimum MTBF at full load at 25°C ambient per MIL-HDBK-217F. They can also withstand voltage of 4000VAC from input to output, 1500VAC from input to ground, and 500VAC from output to ground.

With an active power factor of 0.98, the TMP135 series operates at a 90 to 264 VAC universal input. Inrush current is 80A @ 115VAC or 160A @ 230VAC, at 25°C cold start and the units also come with soft start function. These models can operate at full load in temperatures ranging from 0°C to +40°C with derating required from 100% at +40°C linearly to 50% at +60°C.

The units comply with the RoHS requirements and EMC standards that include IEC60601-1-2, EN55011/EN55022 & FCC class B, EN61000-3-2, EN61000-3-3, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-4, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-6, EN61000-4-8, and EN61000-4-11.

The TMP135 series is economically priced at $75/ea in OEM quantity. Units are available from 8 to 12 weeks ARO.
