BOSTON, May 1 --Today it was announced that MedAptus® , provider of point-of-care technologies to leading healthcare organizations, has completed the integration of its practice-proven Electronic Charge Capture with the EpicCare® EMR system, from Epic Systems Corporation. The first customer site to install and utilize the new interface linking the two systems is Dedham Medical Associates, a long-time MedAptus customer.
Dedham Medical Associates, recognized as one of the premier multi- specialty physician practices in the Greater Boston area, has been providing patient care for more than 65 years. The practice is additionally an affiliate and founding member of Atrius Health. Physicians at Dedham Medical have been using MedAptus for professional charge documentation and submission for nearly five years - as a result of improved capture of gross charges, a per-physician financial benefit of more than $20,000 has been consistently achieved.

Any charges with coding violations are flagged and held for review, reducing potential denials and loss of revenue.
