The I & J123-D50 Twin-Pack Mechanical/Volumetric Dispenser
The 50ml twin-pack cartridge is the most commonly used dual-component package for small bench production mixing and dispensing of epoxies, adhesives and sealants. The problem in using this package is the ability to dispense precise deposits of mixed material repeatedly without mess and without concern for change in viscosity during the working life.
The I&J123-D50 system solves this problem by mechanically displacing each side of the cartridge via a pair of stepping motor-driven rams, which can dispense mixed material in the micro liter range. The high accuracy and repeatability of the stepping motor ensures that the material is delivered via the static mixing nozzle without concern for the viscosity changes which may occur through mixing and temperature fluctuation.
An integral Palm computer allows for easy programming of up to 100 programs, and the stepping motor drive is transmitted via a flexible Hydraulic-Link. The system is supplied with either a bench stand or gun handle and can be mounted on any I&J Fisnar robot.
