McAfee, Inc. Offers First Multi-Year Security Software Subscriptions Via OEM Partnerships


SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 30 -- McAfee, Inc., (NYSE:MFE) the global leader in Intrusion Prevention and Security Risk Management, today announced that consumers can purchase multi-year subscriptions through OEM partners. McAfee(R) offers comprehensive, multi- layered security solutions that allow users to benefit from uninterrupted protection against viruses, spyware, spammers, hackers, and "phishing" scams.

Consumers have the option to choose from three pre-installed options-15, 24 or 36-month subscriptions. Regardless of the subscription period selected, subscribers will receive all new product features and upgrades (including daily updates against viruses and threats) during their active subscription periods.

Dell and Gateway currently offer multiyear subscriptions. Dell offers multi-year subscriptions in the United States and Canada as well as in other regions worldwide including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Austria and Ireland; Latin America including Mexico, Panama, Chile, Puerto Rico, Caribbean, Argentina, Columbia and Bolivia; and the Asia Pacific region including Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Singapore.

McAfee first debuted multiyear subscriptions via OEMs in May 2005.
