Marking Heads handle large and irregular shaped parts.

Press Release Summary:

Able to handle cylindrical parts with various surface conditions, CN Series integratable Micro-Percussion marking heads handle up to 2 characters per second at 5-30 mm in height in steps of 0.1 mm. Marking capabilities include instantaneous computation of variables such as incrementing numbers and control of text style. Units can operate in independent mode (PC disconnected) or as controlled by PLC or other information system using RS232 link.

Technifor New Systems for Marking Large and Irregular Shaped Parts

Charlotte, NC September 3, 2003...Technifor has introduced part marking systems designed to handle large, irregular shaped and cylindrical parts having various surface conditions such as flanges, valve bodies, cast parts, thick plate, forged and hot rolled parts, tubes and more (see part photo). Utilizing CN Series integratable Micro-Percussion(TM) marking heads with a large marking window and deep marking capability---the width and depth permit galvanizing or painting the mark without loss of legibility--handles up to 2 characters per second at 5 to 30 mm in height in steps of 0.1 mm. For example, integrating a CN Series marking head with the Technifor DRT 210C Head Rotation Device (see product photo) allows marking around cylindrical pieces, parts of large diameter--10 to 300mm diameter on 180° with a marking area of 45 x 45mm. Marking capabilities include instantaneous computation of a wide array of variables: batch number, time recording, incrementing numbers, dates and times, plus control of text style: linear, angular radial, inverted, mirrored, centering, compression, inclination, and spacing of characters. In addition, CN Series integratable marking heads can be customized for use on production lines, portable or suspended on a tool balancer to suit specific requirements. Marking head control is attained by control unit functioning in independent mode (PC disconnected) or PLC or other information system using a RS232 link.

Technifor is one of the world¹s leading manufacturer's of electronically controlled permanent, ultra-fast marking systems utilizing Micro-Percussion(TM) technology for identification on metal or plastic parts. Technifor machines are available as stand alone and integrated units for use in bench, manufacturing cells or automated production line applications.
