March Networks Strengthens Financial Solutions with Innovative Fraud Detection Analytic and High-Definition Cameras

OTTAWA, Oct 7 - March
Networks(®) (TSX: MN), a global provider of
intelligent IP video solutions, today announced the addition of a
powerful new data analytic and high-definition (HD) cameras to its
industry-leading Financial
Solutions portfolio to help banks triple their video quality, double
their fraud defenses, and cut fraud investigation costs by as much as 50
percent.

More than 400 banks and credit unions worldwide currently trust March
Networks Financial Solutions to deliver highly-reliable surveillance,
integrated fraud detection and case management. In response to
continuing global losses from credit card fraud and electronic crime at
ATMs, which cost banks over $1 billion annually, the company is proud to
introduce its innovative March Networks Searchlight Skimming Detection
(SD) application.

March Networks Searchlight SD is the industry's first data analytic able
to actively alert banks to potential crimes at ATMs. It uses advanced
software to monitor ATM video and transaction data simultaneously and
alert investigators to suspicious and potentially fraudulent activity,
such as the installation of illegal card skimming devices or cash
"harvesting" at an ATM using multiple stolen cards. March Networks
Searchlight SD offers more than 50 customizable search parameters and a
web-based dashboard that provides investigators with daily, filtered
updates that would typically take days to assemble. It enables banks to
increase their fraud detection and reaction rates and improve
investigation productivity dramatically, when used as part of March
Networks' comprehensive solution.

To further enhance video capture capabilities for both fraud
investigations and banking security, March Networks is also introducing
new HD IP cameras to its portfolio. The company's VideoSphere(®)
MegaPX WDR MiniDome uniquely combines megapixel video resolution with
capabilities such as Wide Dynamic Range to provide banks with crystal
clear video images in a wide range of lighting conditions, including
those found in many retail banking branches where natural light from
large windows often creates back-lighting issues. A second camera, the
VideoSphere MegaPX NanoDome, offers banks HD resolution in a compact
indoor/outdoor design that makes it ideal for inconspicuous installation
in ATM vestibules, lobbies and cash counting centers. Both cameras are
ONVIF((TM))compliant to ensure seamless integration with
existing ONVIF-compatible surveillance systems.

"Our Financial Solutions deliver a measureable ROI by layering
innovative fraud detection and prevention applications on top of our
highly-reliable video surveillance and enterprise-class management,"
said Paul Novak, March Networks General Manager, Global Financial
Solutions. "We are pleased to introduce these new capabilities to our
proven portfolio and look forward to working with our certified partners
to demonstrate their benefits to financial customers worldwide."

The company will demonstrate its Financial Solutions, including its new
March Networks Searchlight SD analytic and MegaPX HD cameras, in Booth
532 at the ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits, October 12-14, at
the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
