Manual Press features programmable electromechanical clutch.

Press Release Summary:

With Manual Press 305, it is possible to separate hand force from ram in controlled manner. Ram decouples at preset values, and return stroke lock makes sure preset values are achieved. Failed parts must be correctly separated by operator, otherwise system prevents operator from continuing. Available with MovTol and bending compensation, press offers extensive data acquisition, data evaluation, documentation, and statistical process control.

SCHMIDT® Manual Press 305

The SCHMIDT® Manual Press 305 represents a completely new concept for hand presses. For the first time it is possible to separate the hand force from the ram in a controlled manner. This is being achieved by a newly developed programmable electro mechanical clutch. In conjunction with the electronic return stroke lock mechanism unique functions can be completed.

o Part protection: Ram decouples at preset values (force, distance or combination of both criteria).

o Return stroke lock: This system makes sure that the preset values are achieved (force, or distance). Otherwise the hand lever cannot be returned into TDC.

o Process safety: Failed parts have to be correctly separated by the operator. Otherwise the system prevents the operator from continuing.

o Freely programmable system: additional I/O and actuators can be added depending on the requirements

o Intelligent functions: MovTol (dynamic tolerances) and bending compensation are available. Last but not least the system offers a convenient and extensive data acquisition, data evaluation, documentation and a statistical process control (SPC).
