Original Press Release:
New Valve Line Drill Presses from Dake Provide Improved Operator Safety and Easier Operation
Grand Haven, MI - A new series of manual drill presses from Dake are designed for enhanced operator safety and ease of operation.
Value Line drill presses are the first pulley-driven drill presses furnished with a standard CE safety package that includes an interlock switch for the belt cover, an emergency stop button, adjustable Plexiglas® chip and chuck guard, low-voltage controls, and thermal overload protection.
An easy-to-read locking scale on the large handle hub makes spindle travel adjustments faster and simpler than conventional units with threaded nut adjustments. Spindle feed is controlled by a large handle with three spokes and spring return for precise control and ergonomic operation. Value Line presses also feature quick-release belt tensioning for fast, easy speed changes and standard Morse Taper (MT) drill chuck for quick bit changes.
Four different floor and bench-top presses are available with drill capacities ranging from 5/8" to 1 ¼" and spindle travel from 3 1/8" to 5 ¼". All models come complete with a standard keyed chuck and machined table and base surfaces with T-slots for mounting and fixturing.
