MicroMain Announces New International Version of Maintenance Software



(May 22, 2003) AUSTIN, TX - MicroMain Corporation, a leading provider of asset and facility management software and services, today announced the general availability of a multi-language International version of its flagship MicroMain XM(TM) computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) aimed at the European market.

The International version of MicroMain XM is designed with a drop-down menu for language selection to accommodate national languages of different countries. The language choice is also useful for organizations with users who speak different languages. German and English are currently available with the International version of MicroMain XM, with French, Italian, and additional languages slated for addition later this year.

As with the U.S. version of MicroMain XM, the International version will be used to streamline maintenance operations by automating work orders, scheduling preventive maintenance tasks, and completely tracking assets. The system also tracks inventory levels, assigns labor, issues purchase orders, and provides over 500 standard reports, which can be easily customized.

The International version of MicroMain XM is distributed by MicroMain Europe, MicroMain's partner headquartered in Dornach, Switzerland.

"The International version of MicroMain XM all began with a European customer's demand for labor tracking," said Thomas Fritschi, Manager with MicroMain Europe. "As a consultancy group prior to our affiliation with MicroMain, we evaluated the best possible maintenance and facility management systems. We chose MicroMain due to its comprehensive functionality and ease of use.

"As we continued to work with European customers, we realized there was an urgent need for a product with multi-language capabilities," he added. "This has now resulted in the International version of MicroMain XM."

The International version ships with a "customizer" feature that enables customers to make changes, including extensive customizations, without accessing the source code.
