MicroMain Announces General Availability of Maintenance Software in Spanish

(May 22, 2003) AUSTIN, TX - MicroMain Corporation, a leading provider of asset and facility management software and services, today announced the general availability of a Spanish version of its flagship MicroMain XM(TM) computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and a Spanish version of its add-on mobile module.

The Spanish version of MicroMain XM is used to streamline maintenance operations by automating work orders, scheduling preventive maintenance tasks, and completely tracking assets. The system also tracks inventory levels, assigns labor, issues purchase orders, and provides over 500 standard reports, which can be easily customized.

In addition to MicroMain XM in Spanish, customers are able to use a Spanish version of xmMOBILE(TM), MicroMain's add-on module for PDA-based work orders and inspections. Eliminating the need for paper work orders, this add-module allows maintenance technicians to create work orders on the fly, track time as tasks are completed, and add parts and labor to work orders via PDAs.

"We've seen increased interest in a Spanish version of our MicroMain XM suite," said Pat Conroy, President of MicroMain. "The software itself has always received high marks for being easy to use, and now we are pleased to make it even more accessible and easy to understand for our Spanish-speaking users."

MicroMain's partner Raul Quintero with RQ Consultoria Tecnica in Mexico has translated MicroMain XM and xmMOBILE into Spanish and is providing these products to customers in Mexico and South America. The Spanish versions of the software are also available to all MicroMain customers.

One of the first customers to take advantage of the Spanish version of the software is Parker Hannifin Corporation, the world's leading diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems. Parker Hannifin's plants in Matamoros, Mexico-across the border from Brownsville, Texas-have recently converted to Spanish from the English version of MicroMain XM.

"The implementation and training for the maintenance technicians went very smoothly at Parker Hannifin," said Quintero. "Parker Hannifin is just one example of the many plants that will benefit from software available in Spanish. We expect to help additional organizations that need comprehensive maintenance software designed for Spanish-speaking users."
