Magnetic-Drive Pump handles aggressive applications.

Press Release Summary:

Webster Series R Mag Drive Pump is all plastic, making it immune to failure due to rust or corrosion. Seal-less design results in zero emissions and no leakage due to seal failure. Pump body is thick-wall, glass-reinforced polypropylene. Epoxy-painted motors and PPS bushing design help guard against premature heat damage. Single- and 3-phase motors are available, ranging from ½-5 hp. Flow rates range from 5-140 gpm with max dynamic head discharges up to 141 ft.

Original Press Release:

Rugged Mag-Drive Plastic Pumps Come with Two-Year Warrantee

Completely immune to failure due to rust or corrosion, a new line of all-plastic magnetic drive pumps from Hayward Industrial Products are warranted against failure for two years of even the most demanding service. These new Webster Series R Mag Drive Pumps are designed to stand up in the most aggressive, demanding industrial and commercial applications year in and year out.
Suggested applications include corrosive and ultra-pure services such as those found in the water treatment, plating and chemical process industries. Also, the pump has a seal-less design that results in zero emissions and no leakage due to seal failure, making Series R Mag Drive Pumps particularly well suited to
applications where such emissions could be a problem.

In addition to all-plastic construction which prevents process fluid from contacting any metal component, the design also includes heavy-duty, thick wall, glass reinforced polypropylene pump body construction. Further, they are equipped with rugged, epoxy painted motors and a patented PPS bushing design to help
guard against premature heat damage should the pump run dry or be operated against a closed valve. Many options are available to adapt the pumps to other specialized, unique applications.

The Series R magnetic drive coupling consists of two heavy-duty magnet assemblies. The outer assembly is connected to the pump motor while the inner assembly is attached to the impeller of the pump. As the pump operates, the two magnetic assemblies continuously attract and repel each other. This is the force that transfers torque from the motor to the pump impeller. Since this drive is essentially frictionless, it consumes less power than that of other designs.

The Webster Series R Magnetic Drive Pumps from Hayward are available with heavy duty, single or three phase motors with horsepower ratings from 1/2HP to 5HP. A quality ceramic shaft is standard or all pump sizes and both threaded and flanged piping connections are available. Flow rates range from 5 to 140 gpm
with maximum total dynamic head discharges up to 141 feet.
