MagnaChip Launches Latest Display Solution for Mobile Phone and MP3 Player Displays

SEOUL, South Korea, Aug. 15 // -- MagnaChip Semiconductor Ltd., a leading global designer, developer and manufacturer of image sensor solutions, mixed-signal and digital multimedia semiconductors, today, announced the launch of its high-performance, feature optimized Passive Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (PMOLED) (MC2EP7202) product designed for use in the main displays of mobile phones and MP3 players.
The MC2EP7202 supports QQVGA (128x160) resolution and 262,144 colors. With minimum power consumption, it supports system (68/80 series MPU), RGB, and VSYNC parallel interface, as well as serial interface (SPI). The MC2EP7202 is targeted for various panel size products and for partial display and 50X4 icon function, allowing it to be used in slim and wide-angle mobile phones.

The EP7202 is currently available with planned mass production in Q4 2006. The EP7202 solution will be produced using 0.18 µm process technology.
