New Double-End Facing, Centering and Chamfering Machine with Through-Part Transfer System

Solon, Ohio...A new Double-End Part Machining System from Bardons & Oliver, manufacturer of standard and custom lathes and turning machines for over 110 years, will be on display at IMTS 2004.

The new machine is capable of facing, centering, chamfering and turning both ends of bar stock or tubing. Material that is previously cut to length by any method may be loaded into the machine magazine for transfer through the system and finish machining of both ends of the part. The machine on display has the capacity of 1" to 4" OD and part lengths of 6" to 60".

Set-up for various sizes is very quick using servo-driven slides and a part transfer system that adjusts with the main servo-drive system. Tooling is quick-change mounted on a taper holder. Additional operations such as part gauging can be easily added to the base unit.
