Introducing the 'New' Bridge-Type 5 Axis Machining Center MPF-10 (5IX) (5C)



Chicago, IL/Markham, ON - Developed based on the MPF-series which has a good reputation as the machine for medium and large size plastic mold machining, as well as, for semiconductor parts machining is the NEW MPF-10 (5iX) (5C) model. This machine is a bridge-type 5 axis machining center with A-axis (head swivel) and C-axis (table rotation) which allow for highly efficient and accurate machining.

The highly rigid head has a 230mm diameter snout that improves accessibility to deep cavity work pieces while maintaining heavy-duty machining capability. The motorized spindle drive system is a gear-less direct drive without backlash. The spindle unit has a high speed and high-power motor of 8000(op.12000) min-1 and 30/37kW with a step-less speed changing system to assure machining with optimum cutting conditions.

The X, Y, and Z-axes are supported by pre-loaded linear roller guides for high accuracy and high speed feed-rate. The A and C axis indexing have hydraulic clamp systems for powerful cutting. With the MPF-10 (5iX) model the A axis is a continuous rotary axis and the C axis has a 1 deg indexing, whereas the MPF-10 (5C) model the A and C axes are continuous rotary axis. Heavy-duty cutting can be done on any position of the A axis, due to the strong hydraulic clamping device on both of MPF-5iX and 5C machine.

The machine is a one-piece casting that consists of a uniquely shaped frame and a wing bed, as well as, a large size curvic coupling of 800mm for table indexing. This simple and highly rigid construction provides and keeps high accuracy and high rigidity.

The intellect of the machine, developed with our unique experience as machine tool builders, is provided by our latest CNC system, TOSNUC 888.2.
