Original Press Release:

Spectrum3 Machine Vision System

Advanced Technologies has introduced its third generation SPECTRUM vision system, built on the company's 15 years of high speed vision experience.

The newest SPECTRUM vision system includes eleven 1k x 1k frame buffers for over 92Mb of pixel resolution in gray scale or full color. The dedicated vision engine inspects full resolution color images at over 10,000 parts per minute (160+ pps).

The system is a dedicated industrial vision system which couples the latest advances in cameras, lighting and optics with the most precise and powerful machine vision engine ever developed.

SPECTRUM provides the most accurate, reliable and economical means of achieving 100% quality control. Industries include aerospace, automotive, bearings, cans, can ends, castings, closures, food, food processing, glass, plastic, packaging, rubber, web inspection, and more.

Powerful new software allows the system to set sensitivity levels
automatically. This allows the unit to detect defects without the "pass/fail threshold trade-offs" of competitive systems, and virtually eliminates false rejects and scrap. No knowledge of pixel levels, gray scales, or the perfect sensitivity is needed.

The system sports user friendly pop-up menus; there are no Windows operating systems, no drivers, no program switching, no computer keyboards and no programming. SPECTRUM's color monitor shows each part as it's inspected complete with color defect highlights pin-pointing the defects.

SPECTRUM's amazing accuracy coupled with the system's low cost provide tremendous savings by eliminating defects and reducing scrap and waste.
