15 to 30 V DC Spring-Loaded DC-LVDT Position Sensors Prove Highly Accurate and Compatible with PLCs

GHSE/GHSER 750 Series LVDT Position Sensors Feature 0.1% Non-Linearity and True 0 - 10V DC Output

Pennsauken, NJ, November 2, 2005...Macro Sensors, a division of Howard A. Schaevitz Technologies (www.macrosensors.com), introduces a new line of 24V DC-operated spring-loaded LVDT position sensors ideal for a variety of position measurement and dimensional gaging applications. The GHSE/GHSER 750 Series LVDT position sensors operate from 24V DC, delivering an output of 0- 10V DC over the full sensing range. One of the new features of these units is their ability to be powered directly from a PLC power supply.

Constructed of stainless steel, the GHSE/GHSER 750 Series LVDT position sensors are rugged, read-to-use, hermetically sealed ¾" sensors. For added protection against harsh industrial environments, coil windings are sealed against hostile environments to IEC standard IP-68. Electrical termination of GHSE and GHSER configurations utilize MIL spec sealed connectors. The GHSER units have radially-mounted connectors that shorten the installed length of DC LVDTs for use in locations with space restrictions. A detachable mating connector, supplied with every unit, permits repair or replacement of damaged or severed cables without the need to replace the entire LVDT, as with units having integral cables.

The GHSE/GHSR 750 Series DC-LVDT position sensors generate a true pre-calibrated 0 to 10V output. Available in ranges of 0.100 inches (2.5 mm) to 4.00 inches (100 mm), these spring-loaded DC-LVDT position sensors offer repeatability of 0.000025 inches with non-linearity less than or equal to +0.10% of FSO.

Units are ideal for various industrial applications such as industrial gaging systems, SPC data collection, electronic dial indicators, fabricated metal products gaging as well as large shaft TIR measurement.

Pricing for the GHSE/GHSER 750 series begins at $536.00. For additional information, please contact Eileen Otto at 856-662-8000/email: sales@macrosensors.com or visit our web site at www.macrosensors.com.
