Product Applications: TownMaster luminaires provide high-performance, glare-free outdoor area and roadway illumination in a traditional, architectural design. They are ideal for application in a wide range of public and private environments, including municipal streets and parks, public entertainment areas, residential communities, pedestrian malls, corporate campuses and the like.
Product Description: TownMaster luminaires are characterized by a large-scale truncated bell-shaped aluminum housing, secured atop a broad Y-shape smooth, tubular metal support arm.
An integral ballast compartment with center finial caps the housing. The housing base has a flared triple-ribbed lip around its circumference, to give "cut-off" optical performance. A wide range of standard, as well as, custom colors is available.
The interior of TownMaster's one-piece reflector assembly has a chemically brightened, clear anodized surface that maximizes light output from a vertically oriented MH, MHP or HPS lamp. The reflector delivers an effective projected area (EPA) of 3.4 square feet. Computer enhanced reflector facets diffuse emitted light to reduce harmful, distracting glare while redirecting light away from the lamp's arc tube to prevent voltage from exceeding manufacturer tolerances for assured safety and long operational life.
A choice of round symmetrical, square symmetrical and forward-throw light distribution patterns may be specified. Reflectors are rotatable through 360° to facilitate aiming for forward-throw distributions.
Flat or convex glass may be specified. Lenses are sealed against moisture and contaminants entering the housing. TownMaster fixtures have an integral metal slipfitter for vertical mounting on a 2-3/8-inch tenon.
A range of internal light shielding and louver options are available to meet "dark sky" regulations or preferences, and to eliminate bothersome light trespass without unsightly add-on external attachments.
Construction & Finishes: The TownMaster housing is constructed from durable, lightweight spun aluminum, with a one-piece spun aluminum reflector assembly and cast aluminum ballast housing. Textured polyester powder-coat is electrostatically applied, following a five step pre-treatment process that includes an iron phosphate priming stage for maximum coating adhesion. Paint finishes meet or exceed all ASTM requirements for a 1 ,000-hour salt-spray test. TownMaster is UL and CUL listed for wet location use.
