Original Press Release:

New Lug-Lock Seals Enhances Integrated Cartridge Program End Users Obtain The Industry's Most Reliable Seals

Essex Junction, VT, October 8, 2003, - Flex-A-Seal has announced their Lug-Lock Drive, a simple, strong, reliable method of driving the rotating element in mechanical seals that eliminates the need for set screws.

Prior to the advent of the Lug-Lock Drive, users of ANSI, process and general service pumps had to contend with a complicated set screw-driven rotary element that included a drive
mechanism.

Installation is a trouble-free, three step process:

1. align the lug to the slot in the sleeve

2. twist in place

3. press fit a Teflon® anti-rotation disk behind the lug

The "Lug-Lock" Drive fits all seal styles in their recently revamped Integrated Cartridge Seal program. The program, introduced three years ago, offers end users a cohesive line of high quality cartridge seals with interchangeable parts at very favorable pricing.
