Lucid Security Launches ipANGEL v4.0 at 32nd Annual Computer Security Institute (CSI) Conference

WASHINGTON, CSI Conference & Exhibition Booth 612, Nov. 14 -- Lucid Security Corporation, the leader in adaptive intrusion prevention, today announced the launch of ipANGEL v 4.0, the most effective, reliable, high-performance intrusion prevention appliance on the market. ipANGEL 4.0 features enterprise/carrier-class bandwidth from 10 Mbps to 2 Gbps with four protected network segments, on-device active and passive vulnerability assessment, high-performance ASIC and FPGA hardware capabilities and reduced latency of end-to-end traffic flow.
Combining on-board vulnerability assessment with intrusion prevention, ipANGEL is designed to automatically update and tune protection to prevent exploits to vulnerabilities as they are discovered on servers and applications within the network. Using a vulnerability-based signature system to proactively protect against almost all known, unknown, and undiscovered attempted exploits of system vulnerabilities, ipANGEL performs its deep packet inspection of all network traffic at wire-speeds ranging from 10 Mbps for remote office deployments, to multi-gigabit throughput for enterprise/carrier- class environments with virtually no latency.

According to Jerry Riddle, vice president of Data Management Solutions, a Clearwater, Fla.-based solutions integrator, ipANGEL recently prevented more than 12 GB of logs based on five million attacks at a highly-secure operations center in July and August.
