CLEVELAND – The Lubrizol Corporation's LifeSciences business, a leading supplier of advanced materials for the pharmaceutical and medical device industry, will showcase its expanded range of solutions for the pharmaceutical industry at the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) conference October 25-29 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida (Booth #417).
Lubrizol will highlight the acquisition of Particle Sciences (Booth #1249) - a leading contract drug development and manufacturing organization with a comprehensive suite of services for the formulation, analysis and production of complex drug delivery solutions. Lubrizol LifeSciences will also feature Transform™ - a new revolutionary topical film that offers wide API compatibility and simplified loading techniques.
This Particle Sciences acquisition further expands Lubrizol LifeSciences' pharmaceutical development capabilities, providing full service drug delivery solutions to the market across a variety of dosage forms. "With the addition of Particle Sciences and the recent acquisition of Vesta, we are now able to offer customers a complete solution that is one of the most comprehensive in the industry," stated Deb Langer, vice president and general manager, Lubrizol LifeSciences. "Additionally, the Particle Sciences acquisition allows us to leverage our core polymer chemistry into tailored solutions for novel implantable and dermal drug delivery systems for improved patient outcomes."
Lubrizol LifeSciences' newest product, Transform, is the only hydrate-able topical film that offers wide API compatibility, value and convenience all in one. Transform films make loading APIs for drug delivery fast and easy. This helps to potentially eliminate additional raw materials and processing steps of lamination and multiple components. Improved patient comfort is yet another benefit as Transform is cool, comfortable, transparent film for optimal aesthetics and patient relief.
