Lubrication for Every Application

Single point lubricators can be used in any number of applications to keep your equipment running at peak performance. We would like to share with you the four most common applications that benefit from single point lubricators (SPLs) – conveyors, electric motors, pumps and fans/blowers.

Conveyors are exposed to a variety of natural elements and conditions. Thus, proper maintenance is critical. SPLs are generally installed on the following points of any conveyor system to maximize their effectiveness - drive motor, snub pulley, bend pulley, take-up pulley and rear pulley.

Electric motors are generally located in areas with poor accessibility or areas that are dangerous. This often leads to irregular lubrication frequency. Failure to properly maintain and lubricate electric motors can be very expensive. SPLs are installed on the non-drive and drive ends to prevent bearing lubrication failures.

Pumps are the core of many demanding applications. A failing pump can shut down the entire production process. SPLs can help improve operational performance when installing them on the drive motor, and on the bearings and seals of the pump shaft.

Fans & blowers provide adequate airflow in many applications by removing dust and harmful substances from general HVAC systems. SPLs can provide precise lubrication amounts and frequency to the bearings for superior performance. SPLs are generally installed on the motor drive, bearings and seals of the fan drive shaft for optimal performance.

Regardless of your application, there are a variety of ways to mount SPLs to critical operational equipment. NTN offers direct mounting to the motor or bearing when access is easy and safe. Remote mounting options are available for those applications where access is difficult and dangerous.
